Thanks to generous support, Women’s and Gender Studies at Carolina has grown and flourished. What began as a small program with no permanent faculty has developed into a full-fledged department, boasting an interdisciplinary group of nine faculty members, each with their own specialties and fields of interest. As a result of this growth, our course catalogue has expanded, and our offerings are as unique as faculty members teaching them. The expertise faculty have gained through a variety of research endeavors has been channeled into several new and innovative classes for our students.

Please help us meet the challenge of maintaining our first-rate program committed to the study of women and gender in the United States and around the globe. Your gift may go toward supporting undergraduate research and enhancing our educational mission, faculty travel to archives, libraries, and museums, or to retaining and recruiting the world-class faculty for which UNC is renowned.
