Recruitment of Teaching Assistants for IDST 114: SCI-FI, Environment, and Vulnerable Communities for Fall 2024
The Department of WGST invites applications from graduate students interested in working with us in the capacity of a TA in a large lecture class in the Fall 2024 semester. Each Teaching Assistant is responsible for grading approximately 100 students or 25% of enrollment, as well as attending all class meetings, a weekly teaching team meeting, and supporting the work of the instructors. The current TA stipend is $10,000/semester. The student’s home department needs to cover the tuition waiver; students cover their health insurance and any additional fees, if applicable.
To apply, please submit a CV, a letter of interest and 1 letter of support from a faculty member who can comment on your teaching experience and progress towards degree. Students who have prior Teaching Assistant experience do not need a letter of support. Students can indicate in their cover letter if they are interested in being considered for a position with III, 101, or both
All applications should be submitted to: Ariana Vigil, Chair firstname.lastname@example.org
